I felt so bad for Hyojin Choi throughout their preparation. Seeing her in YGX now makes me happy she found great teammates. She had difficulty bonding with her team then because she couldn't hear sometimes. I actually found out about her condition because of a video from when she was in Dancing High. YGX's teamwork to take care of Yell was so touching to see. I do think La Chica deserved the win and to stay over Want so I'm happy for them. But like Hyo Jin said, I think it was satisfactory that she got over her fear and overcame this, even if they got eliminated. Chaeyeon seemed more relaxed but I still think her repertoire of moves and range are limited compared to all the other battlers and H1 had such clean moves and the last 40 seconds won it for H1 I think she was so focused and unaffected by Chaeyeon. Though we now have two leaders injured after a battle, damn. Finally, I felt like this is the 1M HyoJin I've been waiting for, she definitely was releasing all her pent up emotions here.
Though I enjoyed her round 1 battle more. Rian was super impressive how quickly she went from nervous to putting on a good show. Duo battle Emma and Moana had really good chemistry. I thought Gabee didn't better than Emma especially in the last 40 seconds, perhaps the novelty factor gave her the win. Peanut definitely deserved the win and I was surprised by how little cheers Rozalin got. Also I was super glad to see how prowd mon was of Honey J (hehe).īattles wise. Holy Bang really went from being a choice for the elimination battle to choosing who went into the elimination battle. I'm also glad Honey J saves CNB based on their performance. I was surprised though with the minimal screentime for Rozalin (maybe due to her controversy?) but also Chaeyeon except at the end. I actually think things would've blown up further if they had continued so it's probably a good ending point for them.
There was such evident tension within Want, especially between Rozalin and Emma vs Hyo Jin. You could tell she just wanted to show what she could do with the battle and the done with it. That really sucked and she looked so done and over it. I felt really bad for Hyo Jin this episode because I always felt her leadership was lacking but this episode made it clear it was because she didn't feel like she was in the position to lead and her crew was not really there for her, except Moana.
